I don’t care how many commercials they put out. Mountain Dew Manic Melon sucks and is a terrible flavor.
I try most new junk food flavors, in the off chance that a brand has captured lightning in a bottle. As soon as I heard about Manic Melon, I tried to find it. While I don’t regret trying it, I definitely regret buying two bottles at the time.

It has a dull flavor and tastes like those crappy 99 cent sodas that have vegetable oil in them. Mountain Dew no longer uses Brominated Vegetable Oil (BVO) in its drinks, but you’d be hard pressed to tell after trying Manic Melon.
If you’re going to drink Mountain Dew, there are better flavors.
Ironically, Mt. Dew just released a melon flavor less than a year ago (Frostbite), and while it isn’t groundbreaking, it’s still better than this. Oddly, Frostbite isn’t even listed on their site, even though it’s still being sold in stores. Even meme flavors like the cranberry dew were better than this.
If you’re bound and determined to drink this, then I can’t stop you, but you’ve been warned.
