The Best Personas in Persona 5 Strikers

Combat is an integral part of jailbreaking in Persona 5 Strikers, and you’ll need to be prepared for the variety of enemies that you’ll face. Here’s a short summary of the best personas in Persona 5 Strikers.

For what it’s worth, I’ll be using “persona” and “demon” interchangeably here – I’ve played more mainline SMT games than Persona titles, and the terminology sticks with you.

Fuse ’em and forget ’em

Don’t get tunnel vision on certain personas. If you want, it’s possible to have an Arsene, Pixie, Jack Frost, or whatever demon with max stats. Skill inheritance is easier than ever, and you can find skill cards for nearly every skill you’d possibly want. This even severe-level damage spells!

However, what you’re really looking for is resistances so that you don’t get bodied by mobs that use certain elements. You should also focus on having enough elemental coverage.

Unlike the main games, the list of fusible personas is much smaller, and frankly, some arcanas just don’t boast any great personas. I’ll be listing notable demons under their relevant tarot. Many of these will be late-to-endgame personas, so don’t fret. I was able to obtain nearly all of these personas by the second-to-last dungeon.

Fool Arcana

Arsene

I’m only including him because he’s a fan favorite. You can fuse a strong Arsene if you so desire, and admittedly, I like his design, but two weaknesses and only one resistance sucks. If you are dead set on using him, he does eventually learn high level Curse and Gun skills, but you’ll be on New Game+ before you hit those levels.

Black Frost

Hee-ho! This Frost is fantastic, and has great resistances. A solid candidate for your ice persona. King Frost is also an option, but I highly prefer this one.

Empress Arcana

Kali

Great for ailments and technical damage. Solid pick.

Heirophant Arcana

Forneus

I’m not Steve Irwin, I’m allowed to like Stingrays. It comes with a severe Psy spell and decent resistances.

Chariot Arcana

Yep, he’s only got one head. It’s the thought that counts.

Cerberus

I got a lot of mileage out of Cerberus, and ironically, he was my first max stat persona, but there are better fire choices, as you’ll see later.

Thor

Thor does unfortunately have two weaknesses, but is still my go-to for electric damage in this title. If you want a different electrician, consider Raja Naga.

Tower Arcana

There are three personas in this category, but all of them are worth using. Much in the same way that Black Frost

Seth is Arsene but better.

Mara is Cerberus but better.

Yoshitsune is one of the best personas in the game (again). He’s Siegfried but better.

Don’t sleep on any of these.

Justice Arcana

Metatron

You’ll have nearly beaten the game by the time you get access to this overbearing angel. He’s still very useful thanks to his amazing combo attacks: Sword Dance, Debilitate, and Makougaon.

Fortune Arcana

Fortuna/Norn

I’m lumping them together because they’re very similar, both learn wind spells, absorb wind, etc. I used the heck out of Fortuna in my first playthrough, but once I passed Vacuum Wave onto other personas, I left her behind.

Death Arcana

not this Alice

Alice

Veterans of the series already know what time it is. The creepy kid is back, and while I’m not a big fan of insta-kills, they do come in handy. Notably, this kiddo also comes with Spell Master, which halves skill SP costs.

Star Arcana

Lucifer

This goes without saying. He’s obviously great, but he’s a new game+ only persona. Even so, don’t fall victim to pride and consider picking him up.

Hermit Arcana

Mom says it’s my turn on the Xbox

Arahabaki

Available at level 36, this persona will come in handy in certain fights due to its resistances. Occasionally, the game likes to remind you that insta-kill spells exist. It’s definitely not an endgame persona, but you’ll find it useful. You’ll need to level one to 50 at some point anyway for Yoshitsune.

Magician Arcana

Queen Mab

Her stats aren’t amazing, but this is one of the earliest personas with -dyne level spells, and she has both the Fire and Ice variants.

Leaving the Velvet Room

Ultimately, the personas you choose are up to you, and this game gives you a ton of freedom to pick your favorites. Feel free to experiment!
