Dragon fruit probably isn’t the first fruit you put in your cart at the grocery store. I don’t mind it, but it’s not my favorite. It tastes similar to kiwi with a light tang, but is much more expensive.
Some fruit flavors are strong and immediately apparent – a good example would be citrus or pineapple. Dragonfruit is a bit more subtle, and apparently I’m not the only one who thinks so.
As far as energy drinks go, I’ve found that the Red Bull flavors are generally more muted than Monster, Kickstart, or other brands. With that said, it’s not bad. However, Red Bull is at a higher price point than other similar drinks, so that blunts my enthusiasm.
I’ve had this issue with energy drink slushes before. They start to go flat immediately, and they get watered down. I experienced this with Sonic’s Red Bull slush before, and it was only exacerbated with this variant. I tried it twice, and both times I received it right after ordering, so it’s not like it had been sitting out. Both times, it tasted like mildly flavored ice water. Don’t get the slush, get an Ocean Water or a milkshake instead.
It’s worth trying, but this isn’t going to be your go-to drink. If it’s anything like previous seasonal flavors, it’ll be gone before you know it. The official Aggregator Reviews stance is that it’s not as good as the 2021 Winter Berry or 2020 Summer Watermelon releases.
